las vegas: the emptiness and the fullness
I have been in las vegas one month ago and a part of me is attracted by this city and the other part hates it. This city is perfect for a crime scene. The strip looks like a movie set and behind this, there is nothing: empty park cars, some cars driving, nobody in the streets… I was frustrated not to walk in the streets as i used to do it in brooklyn. My soles were melting each time i was crossing streets. To stay in the casino with all this din reminded me Macau. Not to see the light, and to find the exit was a real journey: i became claustrophobic. Loneliness and sadness, richness and poorness… belongs to this city.
